This EULA governs Your use of Closebills, a mobile application provided by Closebills (operated by Felipe Fernandes), Via Marchese Visconti 2, Torino, Italy. It grants You a limited licence to use the Application and sets out the rights and obligations of both You (the user) and the Company. Please read all sections carefully and contact Us at felipe@closebills.com with any questions.

Obligations and Responsibilities

Company obligations:

  • User Licence — Grant You a non-exclusive right to use the Application. The licence can be terminated if violated.
  • Service Availability — Make the Application available and update it. The Company is not liable for downtime (see Warranty Disclaimer).
  • Data Protection — Secure user data via encryption and Google standards. The Company is liable only to the extent of law.

Your obligations:

  • Payment of Fees — Pay subscription fees as required. Access may be suspended or subscription cancelled if unpaid.
  • Account Security — Keep login credentials confidential. The Company is not liable for unauthorised use resulting from Your failure to secure Your credentials.
  • App Integrity — Do not reverse-engineer or copy the Application. Breach may result in licence termination and legal action.
  • Feedback Submission — If given, feedback is assigned to the Company. No compensation or credit to You.
  • Data Accuracy — Provide accurate information for Your account. The Company may suspend accounts with inaccurate information.

Licence Grant and Restrictions

Closebills grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on your device. You may not distribute, sublicense, rent, or modify the app. All intellectual property rights (code, design, trademarks) remain our property. You agree not to circumvent app protections, reverse-engineer the software, or use the app in any unlawful way. Violation of these terms results in licence termination.

Accounts and Authentication

To use Closebills, you must create an account via Firebase Authentication (Google). By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 14 years old and you consent to our terms: "By signing in, you agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy." You are responsible for securing your account credentials. Each account is personal and must not be shared. We will process your basic account data (email, user ID) and use it only for authentication and account management.

Subscriptions and Billing

Closebills offers monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions with no trial period. The subscription auto-renews at the end of each period until you cancel. No refunds will be given, except as required by law (see Termination & Refunds below).

How to cancel:

  • iOS users: Cancel through your Apple ID settings (Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your device).
  • Android users (when available): Cancel through Google Play (Google Play > Menu > Subscriptions).

Cancellation takes effect after the current billing period. In compliance with Italian law (Consumer Code Art. 65-bis), we will send you a renewal reminder 30 days before each auto-renewal.

Lifetime Promotions and Special Offers

We may offer lifetime access promotions or other special pricing as one-time purchases granting permanent access to the App. "Lifetime" means for the lifetime of the App's availability. All promotional purchases are non-refundable except as required by law. Specific terms will be posted with each promotion.

Promotions and Contests

We may offer promotions, contests or sweepstakes. Participation is voluntary and subject to official rules. No purchase is necessary. By entering, you agree to be bound by those rules and by this EULA. We may use your contact information for administering promotions, but only with your consent. Participants must comply with local laws.

Feedback Assignment Clause

If you provide any feedback, suggestions or ideas about the app, you acknowledge that we can use them freely. By submitting feedback, you grant us all rights to it with no obligation to compensate you. All improvements or ideas derived from user feedback belong to Closebills.

Privacy, Cookies and Analytics

Your use of Closebills is subject to data processing as described in our Privacy Policy. We use Firebase services (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Crashlytics) and Google Analytics. Firebase services store your data on Google servers worldwide under Google's data protection terms. Google Analytics collects anonymous device identifiers and usage data. We do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and do not perform cross-app tracking. Where EU ePrivacy law requires consent for analytics, we will obtain it via an in-app prompt. You can disable tracking by turning off analytics or tracking permissions on your device.

Account Deletion and Data Erasure

You may delete your account at any time directly within the App by navigating to Settings > Account > Delete Account. You may also request deletion by emailing felipe@closebills.com.

When you delete your account:

  • All personal data is permanently erased within 30 days.
  • No personal data is retained after deletion.
  • Any active subscription should be cancelled through your device's app store settings before deletion.
  • Anonymised analytics data (not linked to you) may remain.
  • This action is irreversible.

Data Retention and Rights

We retain personal data only as long as needed: until you delete your account. Upon deletion, all personal data is permanently erased with no retention. Usage data in Google Analytics is retained for 26 months by default in anonymised form.

You have rights under GDPR and Italian law: to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, and to object to processing. To exercise these, contact Us at felipe@closebills.com. We will respond within 30 days. If your request is complex, we may extend this by a further two months with notice. If unsatisfied, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante).

Children's Data

Closebills is not intended for children under 14. We do not knowingly collect data from minors below Italy's consent age (14). If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it immediately.

Security Measures

We implement standard security measures: encryption in transit, secure servers, and strict access controls. Google's Firebase infrastructure is ISO 27001 certified. However, we do not guarantee absolute security; you use the app at your own risk.

Warranty Disclaimer and Liability Limitation

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all implied warranties (merchantability, fitness, etc.). We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. In no event will our total liability exceed the lesser of (a) the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) EUR 500.

Termination and Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or for any lawful reason (e.g. legal request). Upon termination, all rights granted to you are revoked and you must delete the app.

Termination and Refund Policy

You can cancel your subscription anytime; it will remain active until the end of the billing period. All payments are final except where law provides otherwise. Under EU and Italian law, you have the right to withdraw from a subscription contract within 14 days of purchase. If you cancel within that period, we will refund unused fees. After the 14-day period or once service has begun, no statutory refund applies. For any refund request outside legal rights, please contact Apple Customer Support (iOS) or Google Play Support (Android).

Platforms and Availability

Closebills is currently available on iOS (Apple App Store). An Android version (Google Play) is planned for the future. When available, the Android version will be subject to this same EULA. Platform-specific terms will be updated accordingly.

Apple App Store — Third-Party Terms

This App is distributed through the Apple App Store. By downloading or using the App, you also agree to Apple's Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. The following additional terms apply to iOS users:

  1. Scope. This EULA is between you and Felipe Fernandes only, not with Apple. Felipe Fernandes is solely responsible for the App and its content.
  2. Maintenance and support. Felipe Fernandes is solely responsible for any maintenance and support for the App. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services.
  3. Warranty. Felipe Fernandes is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
  4. Product claims. Felipe Fernandes, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to any legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
  5. Intellectual property claims. In the event of a third-party claim that the App infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Felipe Fernandes, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of any such claim.
  6. Legal compliance. You represent and warrant that (a) you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo, or that has been designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and (b) you are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  7. Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA. Upon your acceptance of this EULA, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce this EULA against you as a third-party beneficiary.
  8. Contact. Questions, complaints or claims regarding the App should be directed to Closebills (operated by Felipe Fernandes) at felipe@closebills.com.

Governing Law and Disputes

This EULA is governed by Italian law (Consumer Code and Civil Code). Any dispute shall be brought in the courts of Italy. We may translate this EULA, but the English version governs.

Updates to the EULA

We may update this EULA at any time. The latest version will be dated above and available on our website and in the app. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the app following that notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated EULA for matters based on contract or legitimate interest. Where changes affect consent-based processing, we will seek fresh consent.
